Hinckley Bowling Club – Wade Cup competition report.

The Wade Cup Competition was run once again this year for the benefit of the Bowls Leicestershire Men’s Section Benevolent Fund.

Nine clubs in South West Leicestershire took part in the tournament, which was played on Friday, 6rh August on a total of six greens around the area. Each club fielded a team of 16 players, which meant that in total 144 players were involved in the competition.

The winners on the night, with an aggregate of plus 16 shots up was Enderby B.C., with Hinckley B.C. coming in a very close second with an aggregate of plus 11 shots, and very close on their heels, in third place, was Hollycroft Park B.C., with plus 9 shots up.

Following in order after that was Wycliffe B.C. +6, Burbage C.B.C. +2, Ibstock B.C. -2, Kingscroft B.C. -2, Mkt. Bosworth B.C.-9 and Lutterworth B.C. -31.

The total raised for the benefit of the Bowls Leicestershire Mens’ Section Benevolent Fund was £360.00.
