President of Hinckley Bowling Club 2010

It is my very proud privilege to have been elected President of Hinckley Bowling Club for 2010.

Hinckley Bowling Club was formed in 1908 and now in 2010 it enters its 102^nd year. Many years have elapsed since the first wood was delivered and many memories will have been created during the past 101 years. I am certain though; many more memories will be created during this the 102^nd year of the Club.

Opening Day this year will be Saturday 10^th April, when members meet to renew acquaintances and have their first game of the season. The season will consist of the usual full programme of matches for the Saturday and Thursday teams and our four teams will be in action again in the Hinckley and District Triples League.

The Club welcomes new members and if you have never bowled before the first year membership is free. If anyone wants to “give the game a try” why not come along to our open mornings on Sunday 25^th April 2010 and Sunday 9^th May 2010, meet a few of the members and get that initial introduction to bowling.
